Arthur knows the industry inside out. He has worked in the waste management industry since 2012, first in Australia and then in the UK. Although he spent 3 months as a picker, his focus has always been technology. From Head of Digital at SUEZ UK to Chief Product Officer at Waste Labs, his product-first approach and deep knowledge of the industry’s digital infrastructure give him unique insights into the state of the sector and the expertise Sorted needs to make a real impact.
With a PhD on Computer Vision from Cambridge, Ed has pioneered the field in the UK. He is known as the inventor of the FAST Corner Detection, an algorithm now widely used on smartphones, robotics, autonomous systems including self driving cars, and even extraterrestrial helicopters. His work experience ranges from Cambridge University and Los Alamos, to his own prosthetics and robotics start up. More recently, he lead machine learning teams at Snapchat.
